WHO ARE WE?
TrinityTours is organized and managed by The Rev. Canon Vicars Hodge. Vicars is a priest of the Anglican Church of Canada with a passion for introducing people to the Holy Land and her people. He has brought many people to the Holy Land over the years while he pastored a number of Anglican Churches in Ontario and New Brunswick. He retired in December 2018 but for the past 18 Months has been serving full time at Trinity, Sarnia. He continues to serve as Canon Missioner of the Diocese of Huron. Our Goals:
From the beginning of our pilgrimages back in 1999 our goals for our pilgrims have been simple: 1. That Holy Scripture would come alive. The Bible's stories are suddenly better understood when read in context. 2. That Faith would be Deepened: In the 3rd Century St. Jerome called the Holy Land the 5th Gospel -- because nobody visits here and returns unchanged. Our hope is that pilgrims would find their faith commitments strengthened. 3. That meeting Living Stones would enhance pilgrimage experience: We deliberately plan our itineraries so that our pilgrims meet and interact with the Living Stones -- the local Christians of the Holy Land who make pilgrimage possible by their ministries. |
